Delta Bench

879.00

For sitting or setting, this biscuity surfboard is just the trick. It's got a great set of legs too.

Making Of

Like it’s little brother the Delta Stool, the Delta Bench starts with a visit to our local lumber buddies to hand select the finest available boards of maple and walnut. Back at our shop in Over the Rhine, Tim trims and glues together the hardwood boards, meticulously aligning the grain to create a seamless joint. After laser-etching our logo and some guides onto the bottom, we cut out the profile and bore in the angled holes for the legs. Finally we shape the edge of the top with a generous round and give it a final sanding before rubbing in an all natural, oil wax finish to bring out the grain of the wood. Next we cut and bend the American made brass and stainless steel rods to our desired form, and hand polish the newly christened hairpin legs. Following some loving caresses, we get physical, tensioning, intertwining, and hammering our creations together - and Ouala! A friendly bench buddy is born.
